Hello,
after spending months in customizing my CentOS 6.3 for thin client, i am stuck in process making it bootable on USB flash drive. This is what i have tried so far:
1. make iso file of it's hdd, using "dd", and tried to deploy it to usb drive using lili USB creator. Deployment of image to usb drive has failed.
2. tried command: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=4096 conv=notrunc,noerror (sdb is my usb drive)
3. tried command: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=512 (sdb is my usb drive)
I have found some tutorials, and inputs, on internet, mostly using "dd" tool, but i had no success.
As far as i know i have problem with MBR on my usb drive ( am i wrong or not)?
Using Clonezilla i am able to make restore image, but it is not what i want to accomplish (deploy image to some PC HDD) i would like to make bootable fully working OS (not live RO distro) on usb flash drive.
Is there any way to accomplish this?
