boot: prompt what is this

I'm at a boot: prompt, where am I?
Hello, I've got a system that is not booting properly, I'm currently sitting at a boot: prompt, what part of the boot process is this and what am I in? No matter what I type it says "Could not find kernel image: "
I don't believe I'm in the grub because that gives you a grub> prompt. I'm running Suse 10.3

Thank you

Opensuse 10.3 hasn't been supported for 6 years. Is this a system you have had and just started seeing the problem or a new install? In either case, you need something more up to date.
