Unhappy boot loader Problem

i have installed linux after Win2000
i copied linking file "lintowin" from linux to boot from boot.ini using-
#dd if=/dev/hda~ of=lintowin bs=512 count=1
<where ~-/boot partition>

now i m finding prob in booting linux
also , if i try to configure lilo as boot loader, sys gives me error that u r not having kernel modules to rewrite MBR.
infact, i m unable to delete MBR entries using fdisk /mbr also

Thanx in advance
