Thank you, there is a lot of instructions there, that must have taken you a long time! I am re-installing Ubuntu which is very slow but I will go through your instructions when it’s finished. You’ll have to be patient, it could take a while because I am still learning as I go. Cheers!

It didn't take them any time, they are a (now banned) spammer who simply copy-pasted your question into a bullshit generator then copy-pasted the result back again.

If you were to try following those instructions, you would stumble at the first step: there is no woeusb package in Ubuntu, so "apt install woeusb" will not work.

That's the problem with things like ChatGPT, they are not intelligent, they don't actually understand, they only combine text into seemingly convincing output which frequently turns out to be nonsense.

As already stated, the best solution is probably Ventoy - if you can't access the website for whatever reason, the download page links to https://sourceforge.net/projects/ventoy/files/ and if that also fails, try using curl with the -k option to bypass certificate checking, e.g:
Code:
curl -kLC- -o ventoy-1.0.96-linux.tar.gz 'https://sourceforge.net/projects/ventoy/files/v1.0.96/ventoy-1.0.96-linux.tar.gz/download'

If your purpose is to simply test this version of windows, using VirtualBox (or similar software) would seem to be the simplest choice. All you need do is have VirtualBox installed and point it to the windows iso. If it is not officially supported by Microsoft, it may well not work and the problem would likely be the iso itself rather than your Ubuntu or VirtualBox.

With regard to my earlier post on installing/reinstalling the virtualbox_dkms, the instructions are simple and are the same on countless sites discussing it. Here's a link to an Ubuntu forum also discussing it. The error you report in an earlier post obviously means there is some problem with VirtualBox and your configuration of it.

https://askubuntu.com/questions/2035...x-dkms-package

Were you trying to boot the iso in VirtualBox or did you somehow put the contents of the iso on a usb and try to boot that. There should be no reason to get 2 pages of errors when attempting the reinstall. The instructions involve simply copying and pasting commands. Also, why can you not copy and paste output from a terminal?

The link below explains how to boot from a USB in virtualbox and is a method I have used a number of times. I'm posting it for informational purposes to show you how much simpler it is to use an iso rather than a USB. Useful to read but I would not suggest you do it given your skill level on the subject.

https://itsfoss.com/virtualbox-boot-from-usb/

I'd go along with the suggestion above to go to a windows forum.

It says online that WoeUSB was discontinued in 2014. I’ve tried a suggestion that involved WoeUSB befor come to think of it and I believe that’s what I found.

It's almost as if the text of post #15 was generated by software that plugs phrases together with the sole aim of sounding convincing, but no requirement of actually being accurate or useful...
