Best way to copy passwd entries

I have a passwd table on one server and I have a new server I am bringing online. What is the best way to copy some entries in the old server to the passwd table in the new server?

They are on a LAN.

Many thanks....

/etc/passwd that has had the /etc/shadow combined with it (pwunconv).

OK :} ... learn something new every day!

Does the new server have any users that aren't present
on the old one?

I'd personally have solved the problem with a bit
of awk in a script.

Cheers,
Tink
