Question .bat files on Linux?


I have some bat (batch) files from windows, is there any way to run them in linux without doing anything too difficult?

I guess it depends on what the batch file does. AFAIK there is no automatic utility that will convert a DOS batch file to a bash shell script.

Most commands in those batch files are probably Windows commands. I don't think they'll work.

In Linux you would write a shell script to run repetitive tasks. The shell commands are much more powerful than those available under windows. Take a look a manual on shell programming.
