Backtrack 5 aircrack

Hi I am new in this community
I have a problem to aircrack a cap file in BT5
it says
"opening ....cap
please specify a dictionary(option -w)

quitting aircrack-ng "

but when i use -w /root/Desktop/...cap it says "not such file or directory"

I am using a UBS flash driver to booting BT5 beside my windows.

I cant see any files on my desktop, but it shows when i type "ls" in terminal.
can anyone help me with that ? Thanks in advance

example
Code:
aircrack-ng -w /root/password.lst -b 00:14:6C:7E:40:80 /root/file.cap
if there are no documents on the desktop then pointing to a non existent dictionary file on the desktop would give you the error that you see. point to a location where you have a dictionary file
