automate /etc/init.d/networking?

In Debian "wheezy" wifi connected automatically on booting but recently it fails "on demand firmware reload" timeout. I have to reconnect manually after logging in using as root the command "/etc/init.d/networking".

Is there some way to insert that command as root before login but after the "on demand firmware reload" timeout, which seems to come on at the end of the boot process?

Curiously this firmware reload problem also comes up using Arch but is corrected automatically.

i'm sure you can add a delay somewhere in the initscripts. it would increase your boot time i guess.
or just wait for systemd to come to debian...

Thanks, ondoho. "jessie" (Debian 8.0) is apparently due for release next year with systemd (though not as the default init system) and with linux 3.16 (currently used by arch linux) so I'll wait.
