Question Asus Eee 1005PE Function Key Issue in XFCE

I originally installed LM 9 w/ LXDE and had issues with getting the FN+Function Key options to work (Brightness/ Volume ETC)

I followed this link ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1494649&page=2 )and it fixed the problem.

However when I installed the XFCE desktop on the same machine some of the keys stopped working. If I boot back into LXDE I am all set.

Any ideas ? I actually prefer XFCE to LXDE but like the use of the keys.

Thanks in advance for your input.
