Artsd crash on startup

Hey there,

I'm somewhat of a newb to linux, but i've been using it as my only os for about 4 months now, with out any problems. Then today when i restarted my PC and loaded up KDE it crased saying it couldnt load artsd. This prevented KDE from starting, so i loaded up fluxbox, and noticed that any KDE apps i launch also crash artsd. I've tryed reinstalling arts, and even reinstall all the KDE packages, but it still just crashes. I did sevral searches and came up with similar problems, but nothing that matched mine. I've been meaning to change window managers, but i'd still like to be able to use some KDE apps.

Here's what i get when i try to launch arts from the console

[evilgold@localhost ~]$ artsd -F10 -S4096
unix_connect: can't connect to server (unix:/tmp/mcop-evilgold/localhost_localdomain-18f9-421bf932)

MCOP ObjectManager: Could not load extension libartsbuilder.la.
MCOP ObjectManager: can't find implementation for Arts::ArtsBuilderLoader.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Any idea as to how i can fix this... it was working just fine this morning, and i didnt make any changes (that i know of) to the system before it stoped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe
