apparently unique dual boot problems

installed fedora core 2, but grub will no longer load windows XP - as far as i can tell, i accidentally over-wrote the windows bootloader by installing grub on the MBR. is it possible to recover windows bootloader without reinstalling windows, as i do not want to have to reconfigure my windows files &c. thanks for any help.

use a windows rescue disk,
go to start->run->cmd
type:
C:\WINNT\system32\>fdisk /mbr
this will re-write your mbr

thanks for the help, but i don't seem to have a windows rescue disk, and making one on my other box doesn't seem to work - i tried using the winXP cd, but it just goes blank after asking for an administrator password. Is there any way to re-write the MBR as the windows XP boot without having to boot into windows, as I haven't managed to boot into windows using any means i'm aware of.

Can you do a "/sbin/fdisk -l" as root in Fedora and post the output?
By the way its easy to fix if you all did was overwriting the MBR.
