Running Ubuntu Lucid Lynx here. Got a LCD AOC monitor. Model e943Fws. Starts OK until logging screen. As soon as i try to log into my account a "input not support" floats around the screen. Are there drivers i should install..? Anybody knows this LED monitor..?
Thank you in advance.
Before you login at the GUI login interface, hit control+alt+F1 and see if you can into your terminal and log in. As far as your error, it kind of sounds like the resolution you last set in your user preferences is too high for your monitor to handle. Can you also tell me what resolution it is currently set to?

Hi.! My pc-Lucid Lynx is currently tied to an old CRT. Resolution is set at 800x600, which can't be lower.
I wonder if i try a live Ubuntu 10.10...
By the way, i went past the logging screen via text and entered STARTX command. Message i got was: can't process startx > X is already running.
Bewildered...

Well, what about this riddle: I can use this monitor at last...as ROOT...!! I have an administrator account i'd rather prefer to use. There are other common users and a visitor's account as well. They are all banned beyond the loggin screen. Only the rooter is allowed. I am puzzled..!!!
The Nvidia X server settings recognizes this monitor as AOC,ok. But thinks it's a CRT.!
GeForce 7300 LE
Refresh rate 60Hz
X server display config: 1368 x 768
Was it always like that, or did you do something to your system prior to this happening?
Nope. Did nothing. In fact, i can still use all accounts if i plug in the old CRT.
Now that i can ride as root i tried to switch to my normal account (administrator), bu to no avail..! I'm bound to use this monitor-pc just as root....
Alright guys, i took the radical facit. I reinstalled Ubuntu 10.10 and this is making the LED monitor work fine for all of us.
