i am trying to install any version of linux on my other box. its a 650 mhz 64 ram and 10 gig HD.. iwas in the process of it when i had a power outtage(round 19 percent of the way through with rh9. at that time the box was formated and had no partions. so after the "crash" i reformatted and fdisked.
now even tho i have disabled the floppy drive i get an error "invalid system disk".... but if i hit the key as recommended, often several times, will then go to linux splash sreen and let me choose options to boot. when i do that i get the error "isolinux: disk error 10"

You never did erase the MBR (master boot record) it sounds like. If you start the re-installation again of any operating system the MBR will get written to again with the correct information. Have you tried to reinstall yet?

You may want to see if your hdd manufacturer has any diagnostic tools you can download. Something like a confidence test, something to look for bad sectors, anything. If it was a Dell or something like that then they have tools you can use as well. You could've had something bad happen during the power flash. Wouldn't be the first time.

The error is from the hard drive not the floppy. You have a bad installation. You need to reinstall.
