Alt+F2 not working

ok I decided to give kde 4 another try and everything going pretty smoothly except when I type alt+f2,the run command appears in the panel but I can't bring it up to actually type in a command. (clicking on it does nothing) Could it be a conflict issue with kde 3.5 repos? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i wondered if you meant
CTRL-ALT-F2
but a bit of googling... :-)
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...g+alt%2Bf2+kde
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...in-kde-219959/
is "old" (2004), but has maybe a couple things to check.

warning: i know less about this than you do :-)
