ALSA loading?
I follow the installation of ALSA but when I want to load the module I get
modprobe snd-intel8x0
/lib/modules/2.4.21-27.0.2.EL.cern/kernel/sound/snd-intel8x0.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.21-27.0.2.EL.cern/kernel/sound/snd-intel8x0.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.21-27.0.2.EL.cern/kernel/sound/snd-intel8x0.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.21-27.0.2.EL.cern/kernel/sound/snd-intel8x0.o: insmod snd-intel8x0 failed
What to do? Any suggestions?
dmesg output
PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin B of device 00:1f.5. Please try using pci=biosirq.
ALSA intel8x0.c:2529: unable to grab IRQ 0
Intel ICH soundcard not found or device busy
There is some kind of irq problem, but what to do for fixing this?
