Add new users

Hi,

I need to add some new users to my linux email server. There is a small problem however, all other systems (MS) on our network have users in the format 00x, 01x, 02x etc etc.

Is there anyway on fedora core 3 that I can add users that begin with a number first to maintain consistency??

Thanks

Darren.

The "sanity check" for names only happens in the shadow
tools for creation of accounts. The way around would be to
create the users manually (by editing /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow).

Cheers,
Tink
