2 problem trick

I am confused because in the KDE control modle, under the unknown section there is my bios and a lot of my pc components including my processor. what do i have to get drivers out for these or can i leave them alone?

Also , my yast update managerdoesnt seem to hook up on the net. it stays in the connecting to retrieve packages and information screen for about 30 mins and then returns to the begining. any ideas how can i see if the config for the yast update is right?

To answer your first question, if your PC is working fine and none of these "unknown" components are things like your network card or sound card (ie: things that SHOULD be identified) then you can safely leave them alone.

I have no experience with Yast tho, so I can't help you there.
