Helo,
I am using Slackware10 and have upgrade my kernel to kernel2.6.9. The problem is when dialing to my ISP using Zyxel 630-11 ADSL USB Modem (Prolink Hurricane 8000). I've already install everything for the modem driver and also has recompile my kernel to enable ATM module. This is the error from /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslogs.

compile them and install. It was necessary to recompile the kernel before, but I don't know with newer kernels. You have then to set up the connection either following the infos in that same page (In the documentation section I wrote a big "how to" for SuSE, but it applies partly to Fedora too), or in:
Well something is bothering me. You have "/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1: /sbin/iwconfig eth0 nick darkstar"
Not sure, but sense it is a DSL modem shouldn't you have it set to ttyUSB0 instead of eth0?
just a suggestion to try, also I notice a difference of 40 minutes from your error messages and the first entry into syslog? That alot of time between the errors you posted and your syslog entries.
