Well I found out that I don't have to use software. Verizon tech told me to log on like this:

VZ/username
password

Problem is I don't think linux sends it correctly any way to change something in a script to make this work??

Can you simply prepend VZ/ to your Verizon username ?

For the login name, can you use "VZ/username" instead of "username", replacing username with whatever login you normally use for the ISP.

Can you be a bit more specific...? What error message(s) did it give ?

Also - did your Verizon tech guy/gal give any other details as to the login procedure - i.e. do you have to give your login name, followed by a carriage return and password, or is something more along the lines of the usual PAP/CHAP authentication ? Did you mention to him/her that you wanted to log in using linux ?
