xbox mythtv strange streaming problem
Hi all
I have a strange problem with streaming recorded programs to my xbox running xebian + mythfrontend. The playback will stop and start and often return to the menu screen, now the strange thing is.....when my laptop is switched on and corrected to the wireless network, playback on the xbox is smooth.
Other than being on the same network the laptop is not connected in any way with the xbox. I first noticed this behaviour when I SSH into the Xbox from the laptop to monitor the xbox'x performance, everthing played ok - as soon as I disconnected and switched off the laptop the playback stuttering would start again.
I've been through the syslog, and messages on the server and nothing seems wrong. My other network clients on stream with problems.
It started around a month ago - prior to that it was fine. It's driving me crazy!
My setup is as follows;
server running Ubuntu 6.10, mythtv backend, Squid + dansguardian, appachie (mythweb), vnc and ipodder.
xbox with Xebian + mythfrontend
Sony vio laptop (wireless)
apart from the Sony everything in on a 10/100 wired network.
Best regards
Stefan
