Hello all,

I have an XP box and just installed Mandrake 9.1 on a different box. I downloaded LinNeighborhood ( http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/download ) and installed the RPM. But before installing it I config. Samba. I'm not going to get into all the details it took me to get it working to keep you from getting to board reading my question. I will be happy to share the info with anyone who needs the help, just ask. Ok, now to get to my question. When I log on to my XP box and try and connect to my Linux box it ask me for a user and password. I've tried the user I created and the root user, nither one works.... ..... I am able to see my XP box from my Linux box. and able to access all the files... ...... I Created a folder on the Linux box and set the sharing setting to allow all users (everyone - under XP). If I right click on the folder I can set the permission, I put an x in every thing trying to get it to work. I'm still a noob, please help
