Call this a windows question, but in a recent change from ICS to Winroute, Linux no longer loads web pages in a timely fashion.
I am willing to list details upon request, however I have searched for quite some time with no luck at all. LinuxQuestions.org is usally in the first page on a Google search, so this is my effort to get other's input.
With ICS (Windows Internet Connection Sharing), my Windows and Linux worked together happily... no issues at all. However, I would like to make available services behind my NAT, such as SSH, or possibly a HL or Q3 game... without Windows 2000 Server (or equiv), it's very difficult.
So I took down the network for a day to install Winroute. After a headache, it's all up and running, however GAIM and the web take literally 30x longer to load... very slow.
I am willing to admit that it is a mistake on my own configuration, however I first would like to know of any known compatibility issues. Thanks in advance guys... I assure you, this isn't my last post on here...
Windows 2000 Pro / Winroute (As a NAT / DHCP / DNS)
Windows XP (5)
Windows Mandrake 10.0 (1)
Please do not recommend throwing out the Windows NAT, as much as I'd like it Linux, its staying Windows for a while...
