Hello! I have laptop Compaq R4000 (with Broadcom 4xxx bult-in WIFI adapter and AMD64 CPU), I have installed on it Centos 5.6 (GNOME). I have newest updates and have installed NetworkManager. Lan works OK. But WIFI doesn't. I have pentagram router and I have set up WLAN / WIFI network properly (I hope so) - computer with Windows 7 and two mobile phones (BlackBerry and Nokia) works fine with this WLAN network. I don't know how to setup properly the WLAN network on WIFI, as I am new user to this linux distro. I hope you will help me!
I would like to have file and printer sharing. But Internet connection via WIFI will be enough for me. What shoul I do? If you need aditional information, please ask
I have read RED HAT "HOW TO" (and have installed driver to this Broadcomm adapter) and have searching Google to find answer to my problem, but unfortunately, with poor results.
Thank you for your time and help!
Regards,
Felippe
