Why can't I find dhcpcd ?

Hello,

I have another thread here about problems setting up my network and suggestions were made to do the commans dhcpcd with in root or /sbin/.

I have searched the box and dhcpcd is not there.

What do I need to do to correct thius as this seems to be the source of my network set up problem.

Thanks

This package is not on the RH8 CDs - all it has is dhcp on CD#2.
A quick search did not find this package for RH8. However, you can go to:

Thanks. I now have the pak down onto a floppy. How do I install it? I can't see instructions to do this on the site where I downloaded it.

Thanks

rpm -ivh <name of package> <-- to install
rpm -ql dhcpcd <-- after installation to list component files

Look for path for instructions such as README after install
