What means [0:0] in iptables.up.rules ?

Hello,

I am new to linux and have a question to the iptables-settings.
If you call up: /etc --> iptables.up.rules, you get the overview of the iptables.
At this point my question is: what kind of sense has [0 : 0] or e.g. [123:1988798] ... after e.g. OUTPUT ACCEPT?

Example:

*nat
: PREROUTING ACCEPT [0:0]
...

Is it true that it means: [max. count of packages /sec. : max. Bytes/sec.]?

thank you

much regards

Mr.unknown

It means [pkts:bytes] at the time of save rules to file.
you can not pay attention to them.
