What is NETMASK ?


Hi,

Just want to know about NETMASK in NETWORKING.

What is the NETMASK ?

How it is different from GATEWAY ?

When we add a NETMASK to Destination IP and Gateway , then How this netmask works ?


I would be grateful if you could help me on this matter.
