Weird Network Problem

Hi,

I've installed CentOS along with apache, webmin and vncserver on a AMD PC. When I try to access those services from a differenc omputer on the same network, I can only reach apache, the other two servers or any other service for that matter won't show up outside the server. They seem to work fine on localhost thought. Sorry about my problem description. I am a linux newbie. Oh, BTW ssh seems to work fine too.

thanks,
kishore.

Disable firewall and see if that helps. Run this as root:

Code:
service iptables stop

Now you can use WebMin to add some ACCEPT rules (INPUT chain) on the ports for WebMin and VNC Server, then restart it

Yeah I figured that much out but I really appreciate you guys. This is a really friendly place unlike many forums where people get all worked up for no apparent reason.

Thanks,
