vsftpd using multiple interfaces

I've set-up a box running vsftpd that has 2 nics. One connected to the LAN and the other to a DSL line. I've written a perl script to pull files from the lan and then transfer them over the net to another server. My problem is I don't know how to specify which interface to use. So if eth0 is the interface to my lan, and eth1 is the interface to the net, how can I configure the box to pull data from eth0 and send it on eth1?

Your Perl script shouldn't have to worry about that. As long as your routing tables are set up properly (and if your basic networking is working fine we can assume this is true), the kernel will 'just know' which interface to send the packets out on based by destination.
