VPN Config

Hi,
So far I have tried Centos 6/KDE and Fedora 16/KDE with a 'simple' task of trying to get my VPN keys working. (in Windows I just load the .ovpn file in, create a TAP and hey presto).

I imported the .ovpn config into both the VPN util within the generic network tool and KVpnc.

In the generic KDE networking tool when I click the connect - I get connect fail after a few seconds.

in KVpnc I get :
debug: "openvpn" started.
error: OpenvpnManagementHandler: Got no greeting within 3 seconds from management interface, retrying.
info: Send username...
info: Send password...

I see the logs on the remote end and I can see the client connection is accepted it just looks like the handler on my side of the tunnel is not doing *something*

and nothing in messages, and I can ping the tunnel ok from this machine.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

Try starting the openvpn manualy like so

Code:
openvpn --config somevpn.ovpn
Also increase the verb to 4 or 5, you should get hints/ideas what's going on with the openvpn connection?

I see you're using tap or bridging. Was wondering what the LAN address of the machine? Is it the same as the tap device?
