Verizon DSL on Red Hat Enterprise 3

I just got Verizon DSL, but I have absolutely no idea how to get it to work with Linux. So far, all I've managed to do is get my laptop to boot very slowly. How do I go about setting it up?

Actually, the ISP doesn't have much to do with it at all.

We need information about your ethernet card.

I'm on Verizon DSL right now, it's a pretty good ISP just to let you know
