Using samba or NFS to mount remote window hard drive

Hi all,
I'am writing shell script to copie some amount of data from window computer to a local linux computer.
actually i'm using samba to mount the remote linux hard drive like this:
Code:
mount -t smbfs -o password=fo//10.100.10.14/TRAVAIL /mnt/floppy/alioune/
it seem to be very slow i don't know if it will be better if i use nfs.
what do you think about it.
Thanks in advance

nfs only works for linux to linux. (or unix to linux etc).

you could also use rcp, or something link sshfs.

if u are using windows then forget about NFS
