User-Space Routing Info

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a way to retrieve routing table information in user-space. What I would like to achieve is to get the output interface given the destination IP address.

Is there any library or user-space application for that case?
Thanks in advance.

This is more of a programming question, so I'm not the best-versed to answer it. However, you could try parsing the output of ip route [or ip -6 route] and matching addresses up to netmasks. Why would you need to do this, out of curiosity?
