Unable to bind when NIS master down
Hi,
Problem:
This morning, our NIS master server down (due to ram prob), and what happen is all the sun servers able to bind to NIS Slave, but not Linux servers.
Details:
sun_server[sab]% telnet linux01
Trying 10.x.x.x...
Connected to linux01.
Escape character is '^]'.
do_ypcall: clnt_call: RPC: Unable to receive; errno = No route to host
YPBINDPROC_DOMAIN: Domain not bound
linux01 (Linux release 2.6.9-55.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri Apr 20 16:36:54 EDT 2007) (4)
Once the NIS Master is up, able to login.
Where is the prob, in Sun or Linux?
In Linux, how to make it able to failover to NIS slave?
I'm still new to all these server and network config in linux, appreciate your help.
