Trying to setup freenet6 as a tunnel broker, stuck on error

I'm coming over from BTExact. They are shutting down their tunnel broker and one of their suggestions for an alternative was freenet6. So I signed up.

I am not good at interfaces in linux. I really don't know what I'm doing. Its quite sad. Please see if you can help me with this error.

Relevant section of the gw6c log:

Code:
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Router configuration
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Kernel setup
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: /sbin/sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding=1
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding = 1
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Adding prefix to 4
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: /sbin/ifconfig 4 add 2001:05c0:9913::1/64
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Error while executing /sbin/ifconfig
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c:    Command: /sbin/ifconfig 4 add 2001:05c0:9913::1/64
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Script failed to execute correctly.
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Interface setup (running the template linux) failed. Quitting.
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Last error is 4: INTERFACE_SETUP_FAILED.
2007/12/06 14:04:10 gw6c: Done.
and the command that causes the error:
Code:
# /sbin/ifconfig 4 add 2001:05c0:9913::1/64
SIOGIFINDEX: No such device
My ifconfig output. Not sure if it helps. The tun0 interface is for VPN. eth0 has an ipv6 address but I'm not sure where it got it from or why its there.

Code:
# ifconfig
