trying to forward to more than one ip linksys

Hi,

Trying to forward certain ports tcp and udp to more than one ip address in a linksys wrt54g router, is there a work around aside from changing the default port number in the app on one box?

I don't think so. I think that the problem is that the router has no idea which of the two servers (two ftp servers for example) the client wants to connect to unless they have a unique external address or port.

I haven't done much port forwarding recently, but can you forward a port to different port number on the server? For example forward port 44 of the router to port 21 of one box and port 21 of the router to port 21 of the other box...

Then you wouldn't have to change the servers (maybe), instead just the client would have to know the different port.
