Angry Trouble installing jk2 connector for apache tomcat

I have been trying to install the jk2 connector to get apache 2.0.47 and tomcat 5.0.12 working together in RH9. I have got tomcat5 working fine on localhost:8080 and apache2 working fine on localhost:80. I can't seem to get the two to work together using the connector.

My test to see if the connector is working is that I set localhost:80 so that it defaults to the tomcat jsp-examples. To test if the connector is working I try to execute any one of the jsp-examples. None of them work.

I used the following site as the primary source of direction for setting up jk2:

http://www.cymulacrum.net/tomcat/tomcat_mod_jk2.html

I am very new to Linux so I feel like I am in pretty well over my head already. It is very possible I have just made some simple mistake. I would greatly appreciate help in getting this up and running.

Thanks,
Danno
