suse 9.1 as ldap client

ok
now i installed openldap and configured it successfully on redhat 9
i can browse it from suse 9.1 using gq, directory administrator tools,
can also login FROM THE SERVER ITSELF!!
but from this suse client can't !! i think the problem in pam_ldap package
because i checked entries in /var/log/messages:
jul 19 09:51:54 linux login[3074]: pam_ldap: ldap_search_s No such object
Jul 19 09:51:54 linux last message repeated 2 times
Jul 19 09:52:53 linux login[3075]: pam_ldap: ldap_search_s No such object
Jul 19 09:52:53 linux login[3075]: FAILED LOGIN 1 FROM /dev/tty3 FOR UNKNOWN, User not known to the underlying authentication module
