strange standstill on tcp connection between vxworks and linux

vxworks 5.4, linux kernel 2.4.21
connected by cisco switch, fast ethernet(100Mb/s)
simple tcp connection, vxworks continually sent data(2k/packet) to linux, so the network throughput nearly gets to the up bound

the problem is, after running for serveral hours without error, there will be a standstill for about 1 minute on the network,
during the 60 seconds, there is no packet communication between the two sockets(see from tcpdump).

After 60s, the network throughput resumes without any error detected by either application of the two hosts.
