Strange ping

Hi,

When I ping my hostname, it doesn't return my assigned IP but local IP. When I ping my servers with hostnames, I got a result. But when I ping other PCs in my network, I got an unknown host.
But when I ping their IPs, I got a result. Strange!

Any ideas?

$ less /etc/resolv.conf
tell me what you get.

Hi... my /etc/resolv.conf file

nameserver (my domainname server IP)
search (my domain name)

I actually configure DCHP with

dhcpcd -d -k eth0
dhcpcd -d -D -B eth0

Any ideas?

Are you running an internal DNS server also or just the DHCP service? Also, are you using NAT?
