I deleted my conf file and remade a simple simple one from the example in the doumentation book....

# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1)
# Date: 2003/10/16 22:41:14

# Global parameters
[global]
workgroup = ROBERT
encrypt passwords = Yes
wins support = Yes

[test]
comment = For testing only, please
path = /etc/samba/tmp
read only = No

In SWAT, I added a user with a password, which is what the xp box is logged in as...

When i tyr to open it in network neibournood, get
\\sambaserver is not accesible. You might not have the permission touse this network resource. Contatc the administrator of this server to find ot if you have access permissions.

The netwrok path was not found

Thanks
