SSHD stops working for no reason.

I've gotten SSHD running on my PS2, but it doesn't work. No, that isn't an oxymoron. I go to log in, and after I get through the login, it just stops working and never gives me a prompt. Sometimes I enter my user name and stops working before it can give my password, and sometimes it doesn't even let me put in my username.

Also, when I do login, the SSH client's log says the login was successful.

What's wrong?

Does the server logs say anything about the failed connections?

Um, where exactly are the server logs. They aren't in /var/logs and "man sshd | grep "logs" doesn't turn anything up.

Also, I belive I have unintentionally double-posted. I started a thread for the last problem I had with SSH, and when I fixed that, I ran into this problem. I started a new thread (this one) for the new problem, but the people starting helping me with this problem in my other thread. Oh, well.

Several times it says "fatal: Cannot bind any address." It also says "Server listening on 0.0.0.0 port 22". Why 0.0.0.0?

Normally it times out after (or before) I login, but just now I got to log in for a bit before it said "Connection reset by peer." The log for that session was like so:

Server listening on 0.0.0.0. port 22
Could not reverse map address 10.0.0.2
Accepted password for travis from 10.0.0.2 port 1398 ssh2
(sshd) session opened for user travis by (uid=0)
(sshd) session closed for user travis

It's like I quit on purpose, but I didn't.

As I recall, this was a bug in the ethernet driver for the Playstation 2 network adapter. After I patched it, everything worked fine.

Thanks anyway.
