Hi,

We need a little more information to help you:

What do you mean by 'incorrect login'?
Is it rejecting what you consider are correct username/password combinations?
What SSH client are you using in windows?
Hopefully we should be able to help you now.

I am at a loss as to why it would allow linux to login not windows... Are you operating some kind of IP/Host control in SSH or anywhere else? Also, could you post you sshd_config file please.

Hi,
i found out the solution.
we just have to set "PasswordAuthentication yes" in sshd_config
then it works for windows also.

I am guessing you didnt have the setup then, but I shall explain...

Authentification keys are just a different way of authenticating a user. So instead of having a password to type in the client will send the users unique key (it obviously doesnt just send it, it is probably similar to the PGP system). If the server verifies that key is correct for that user then it allows them in.

You can find more information here: http://cfm.gs.washington.edu/securit...client-pkauth/

apt for SuSE: http://justlinux.com/forum/showthrea...threadid=77181

cant help you with your Gaim problem... put up another thread, with something a little more descriptive than "gaim 0.75 is not working in suse"
