Question SSH key login won't go through router

All from the same device:

I can log in using a key I have put in my authorized_keys file when logging in from my LAN.

I can log in using password when I am logging in from WAN.

I cannot log in using the same key when logging in from WAN.

I am going through a DD-WRT router with UPnP disabled and the appropriate port forwarded to the server IP address.

Any suggestions here? Do I have a config file issue?

Maybe different allowed authentication methods are used for different source addresses in the ssh server.

Where did you put your private key file (your id_rsa) ?
Are you sure it is in the '600' mode?
You can also try to force the ssh client to use your rsa private key, using
Code:
ssh -i <private key file> <ssh host>

The client in this case is actually my BlackBerry.

The 600 mode thing was discussed in the Ubuntu page on SSH:

Code:
chmod go-w ~/
chmod 700 ~/.ssh
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/authorized_keys
If permissions aren't properly set up, why would that prevent key login from outside the network?
