squid tcp_outgoing_address

Hello everyone,

Good day!

I have 2 DSL connections both at eth0 and eth1. eth0 is my default route (for downloads and games).
All internet requests are handled by squid which uses the DSL connection at eth1. I was able to run this setup successfully using the tcp_outgoing_address <ip of eth1> but I have 1 problem. When the ip of eth1 changed(dynamic ip from isp), I have to manually edit the squid.conf and put the ip address of eth1 (from DSL) and restart squid.

Is there a way to make the tcp_outgoing_address <ip address> at squid.conf to be dynamically assign based on the DSL ip address connected to eth1?

I'm thinking of running a script to automatically replace it before squid starts, but I just want to know if there's a better solution.

Thanks in advance!

Roy
