Unhappy Skype working | Firefox Chrome Not Working

I'm facing a strange issue. I was trying to install neorouter vpn client. i was able to connect to the server and then i disconnected.

I observed that my internet stopped working after that. Not sure if it is because of the same tool. But the strange thing is that i'm able to connect to skype and call.

In my network adapters there are four devices

eth0
eth1
loopback device
and one more which i don't remember

I'm using ubuntu 11.04. I tried pinging gmail but was not able to ping. But I'm able to ping my wireless router.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A VPN client is likely to change network routing in some way. If its misconfigured you could have problems with your network. It should be the case though, that a temporary interface & route is created when you connect, & everything returns to normal on disconnect.Perhaps you should uninstall the deb package & see if your internet comes back, & hold off reinstalling it until you know what its going to do.

When you ask a question here(or on any other forum) you should provide as much information as possible, contents of relevant config files maybe, output of commands that list useful information, like "/sbin/ifconfig -a" which would list your network interfaces for example, & "/sbin/route" which will list your network routes or any info that is relevant to your problem. Otherwise its less likely that you'll get much help.
