shutdown linux client over network

Sorry to ask this stupid question, but I wonder how to shut down linux client (say, it's about 20 or more client) at the same time. All client connect over ordinary LAN Network all connect under 1 server. How do I shut down all client from server?

not sure what you mean by all connect "under 1 server". are you booting via the LAN (for example PXE), or do you just mean you have a DHCP server?

try
ssh <host> sudo poweroff

You could try looking into Func

https://fedorahosted.org/func/

This has a shutdown command.

You could install webmin on all your computers, webmin allows you to cluster groups of computers that have webmin installed. You could then issue a shutdown command to all simultaneously. You also have the benefit of being able to manage them from one location, its a great piece of software. Should mention that it's all done by web interface and is written in perl.

I think it's DHCP server. But thanks for all your answer, I've got "enlightment" right now.
