Sharkoon Gigabit nic with slackware?

Im about to buy a Sharkoon Gigabit nic but then i was thinking about my slackware workstation, where i want to put it in. Is this going to work does the older kernel know about this nic? its a standard slack install with the 2.4 kernel.

so i was hoping to find anybody who has tried this with this brand nic because i think i know for sure that gigabit nic are supported.

so if anybody has tips? im dieing to know

Sorry sickdude, no xp of that. I bet that it runs a different chipset though so it maybe be worth peeking at the chip on the board and researching that instead for a 2.4 box
