Hi, i am new to linux and redhat.
I have dual boot windows xp and redhat 9. This computer is the server and shares internet connection with another that runs windows xp. They are connected through a HUB, however my isp provided only one ip number, thats why i must have this comp on in order for internet to ru on the other one. Now this used to work as long as i had the server running winows xp. Now i wanna switch to linux, but i have no idea how to make the network work, and how to allow the other comp to access internet. I dont want to buy a router or switch, i wanna keep the same hardware. i would really appreciate detailed help, as i have very little experience with linux.

First step is to setup your linux box so that it can reach the internet.
When this is done you will have to enable nat and ip forwarding on your linux box.

As I dont know the settings needed for your ISP I can't help you there.
