sharing a windows connection with linux
I can't seem to figure out how to share my 56k Windows ME internet connection with my Linux Mandrake 8.0 machine. :smash: I'm sharing the connection as a temporary solution until I get a Linux compatible modem.

I would suggest that you go to Wingate and download wingate. They have a free demo version for 2 computers. Wingate is a proxy that will redirect all traffic for you.
On the matter how to configure Linux to use a proxy please refer to your manuals .

like i said, this i snothign to do with linux, and you'd be best going elsewhere for info. I however have had nothing but annoyance from wingate / sygate when i had to use it, i found winroute vastly easier and better, as it's a router, not a proxy
