set up the rlogin daemon & redhat's super-server


hi kind ppl

i want to rlog to another PC in the same LAN.
i think i shoud set the rlogin as a daemon in the server(other host).

pls help me to set the rlogind

i'm using redhat 9 but there is no /etc/ined.d(super-server).is redhat's super-server xinet.d?

in what way do you want to set it up? once it's installed you normally need to change the "disabled = yes" line in the relevant /etc/xinetd.d/ directory to the obvious and restart xinetd. should be it really.

hi again

i did but there is no such file called /etc/xinetd.d/rlogin .

i have only in /etc/xinetd.d:

and i did not get your answer

Sounds like you do not have the rsh-server rpm installed.

the Package manager says that the rsh-server is installed.

so how can i point the problem?
